Friendly, sensible, expert treatment
I offer professional private treatment for alcohol problems in your home, including prescription detox medication. You don't have to admit yourself to a clinic or talk in a group. My service is Registered by the Care Quality Commission under the Health and Social Care Act 2008. You can read more about me here.
Professional help that isn't 12-Step
Unlike many private services, I don't use the 12-step programme used in Alcoholics Anonymous. You can read about my treatment style here.
Home Alcohol Detoxification Programmes
My home alcohol detox services are available across all of England & Wales. Prescriptions for medication, monitoring, psychological help, family support and 3 months of aftercare are all included, using my structured sensible programme. I provide all services personally, and never use agency staff.

|✓ Follow-up telephone session|

|£120 in my Exeter consulting room|
If you don't know what to do, it may be useful to book a one-off assessment & planning session with me. We can talk through all aspects of your drinking, and come up with a range of different options and possible ways forward. At the end you'll have a much clearer idea of the next steps you can take, which may or may not involve further help from me.
This service includes a printed copy of my self-help guide; a written summary of my advice; a follow-up phone call.
If you can visit me in my consulting room in Exeter, the fee for this is £120. Alternatively, you can invite me to visit you at home: I'll agree a fee for this with you on the telephone.
Who am I?
I've been a specialist nurse in drug & alcohol dependence since 1994. I trained as a psychiatric nurse in 1989 after graduating in psychology. In 2007 I started my own single-handed private practice specialising in treating clients with alcohol dependence. You can check my professional registration here, and read more about me here.
Integrity and Honesty
I value my professionalism above all else.
I only take on work which I believe will be safe and effective. If I suggest another service to you I never accept a referral fee or commission from that service; I never pay a referral fee or commission to other services or agents.
Don't hesitate to ring me now for a no obligation chat: 0800 954 0677
I'm always happy to take calls at any time - including evenings or weekends. There's no pressure, just an expert - not a call centre operative! - who can answer any questions you have.
Family and friends
I'm happy to see clients with their partner, other family members or a friend.
